DianaWelcome to my Natural Wellness with Diana Blog!! Yep, I am Diana and I am a Certified Natural Health Consultant and Wellness Coach. I am also a Certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Specialist, Nutrition Specialist, and a Pilates Instructor. I also have a diploma in Fitness and Nutrition.

My goal is to use the knowledge I have gained since I started my journey into Natural Health. I would like to be able to help you discover your path to wellness and keep you updated on the latest and truthful information available.

My journey into Natural Health and Wellness started seventeen years ago when my youngest son was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. At this time there was very little information about children with arthritis, so I read all I could about rheumatoid arthritis in adults. Cody (my son who was eight and a half years old) was so ill from the medication prescribed by the doctors, that all he did was lay on the couch. He had to use crutches to get around because he was not able to put any pressure on his leg.

The arthritis had affected his left knee and he was then also diagnosed with Reiter’s Syndrome (A form of arthritis that affects the eyes, urethra, and skin, as well as the joints. It is marked by a cluster of symptoms in different organ systems of the body that may or may not appear simultaneously. The disease may be acute or chronic, with spontaneous remissions or recurrences.) You can imagine how worried I was.

I researched and read everything I could get my hands on. I would go to the library and come home with a dozen books. I started to realize that treating his arthritis with an organic diet and herbs was the way to go. When I ask his rheumatologist about this, he just walked away from me. Needless to say we never went back to him, because after doing a three day detox of organic juices and a few catnip enemas, my son was up running around and playing as if nothing was wrong (this is when I learned to not total depend on the doctors, because some do not believe in anything expect conventional medicine).

In the following years we did have to do occasional detoxes if he ever had a flare up, but we kept him on a natural and organic diet and never had anymore severe flare ups again. To make a long story short, he is now a Military Policeman for the Army National Guard, how’s that for a success story.

In 2002 I married a wonderful man, Michael,  who has been so supportive in the healthier lifestyle I had chosen for myself and my boys. At first he thought it a little ridiculous, but knowledge is a wonderful thing. The more aware he became about what ingredients were in the products I used , the more he realized I was making the right decisions for our family. My desire is that, as you read the information here,  you will incorporate it into your life and see great results and live a life of great wellness.

I believe that the way to wellness is detoxing, eating a healthy diet (as much organic as possible), the right amount of sleep and water, and of course exercise. Sometimes it may not be easy, but it just depends on one thing, HOW MUCH YOU WANT IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I have Central Hypothyroidism so I know how difficult it can be sometimes to keep up with the healthy lifestyle changes that I had to make to deal with this disease. I am looking forward to playing with my grandchildren, hiking the Smoky Mountains, and canoeing on the Caney Fork River. As I get older, I am just going to get better and it will be because I practice Natural Wellness.
